How to Tree Jump in Shindo Life — Update 250 Movement Guide
Master Tree Jump after Update 250: fluid chaining without waiting on the green marker, free-fall exits, charge timing, and forest routes between villages.
Tree Jump Overview — Update 250
Tree Jump remains Shindo Life’s core forest traversal tool. July introduced the lock-and-charge system; Update 250 makes chaining less dependent on waiting for the green indicator so you keep momentum between trunks. Looking away from a lock can dump you into free-fall — see the Free-Fall guide.
Watch the official RELL showcase embedded above, then practice in Ember forests or Training Fields.
Step-by-Step
Aim → charge → release → chain
1. Point at a trunk, thick branch, cliff, or building side. 2. Hold Space (PC) or jump (mobile/console) until motion lines appear. 3. Release to launch. 4. Mid-air, pre-aim the next surface. Beginners can still wait for green if the lock feels sticky.
Free-Fall Exits
Rotate the camera away from the locked target to leave the branch path intentionally — useful for mountain drops and PvP escapes. Pair with Update 250 notes and code NewFREEFALLings2026!.
Chaining & Walls
Dense timber routes beat open sand. Hit a village wall and transition into wall-walk. Air combat and knockbacks work on walls per RELL’s notes.
Where to Practice
Ember Training Fields, Haze timber, Mount Maki cliffs. Redeem WalkingOnTheWalls! and read the Wall Movement guide.
