How to Free-Fall in Shindo Life — Update 250 Guide
Master automatic free-fall in Shindo Life Update 250: high-ledge drops, look-away exits from Tree Jump, mountain routing tips, and NewFREEFALLings2026! code rewards.
Free-Fall Basics — Update 250
Automatic free-fall is the companion piece to July’s Tree Jump overhaul. Jump or step off a significant height and the character transitions into a controlled fall instead of feeling glued to the last climb animation.
Watch the embedded RELL showcase — developers demonstrate look-away free jumps from tree locks — then practice on Ember Training Fields and Mount Maki cliffs.
Method 1 — High Ledge Drops
Village roofs and mountains
Climb with wall walk → reach a roof or ridge → jump outward. Free-fall should engage without mashing extra inputs. Use this to shortcut Obelisk / Haze elevation changes when farming bosses.
Method 2 — Tree Jump Look-Away Exit
Lock a Tree Jump → hold Space (or mobile jump) → rotate camera away from the target. You leave the branch lock and enter free-fall / free jump. Keep slight steering while locked; full 180° turns still dump the lock by design.
Combat & Escape Uses
When HP drops below ~30%, chain Tree Jump into free-fall off a canopy to break line of sight, then wall-walk onto a side path. Combine with the PvP protection guide.
Codes & Practice Loop
Redeem NewFREEFALLings2026! and WalkingOnTheWalls!, then spend ten minutes on Training Fields: Tree Jump → look-away free-fall → wall walk re-stick. Full Update 250 context is on the Update 250 page.
